Thunder Rosa Defends Underappreciated Storm vs May Match at AEW All In
Former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa has spoken out about the underappreciated match between Toni Storm and Mariah May at AEW All In. While fans heavily praised the main event between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland, Rosa believes the women’s championship match deserves more recognition for its long-term storytelling and character development.
Rosa expressed her disappointment that the Storm vs May match didn’t receive the respect it deserved, despite the extensive nine-month storyline leading up to it. She highlighted Storm’s character evolution into “Timeless” Toni Storm over the past two years and praised the creative promos that built up the match. Rosa felt that this match delivered on fans’ requests for deeper storylines and character depth in wrestling.
The match itself was the culmination of a complex narrative that began with May as Storm’s biggest fan, progressing to her becoming Storm’s assistant and tag team partner. The story took a dramatic turn when May betrayed Storm, leading to their championship clash at AEW All In, where May emerged victorious to claim the AEW Women’s Championship.
