The Undertaker Recalls Elimination Chamber Incident Where He Was Set on Fire
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Undertaker discussed the incident in which he was accidentally set on fire during his entrance at the 2010 Elimination Chamber event. Undertaker recounted how, two weeks prior, he had specifically requested the pyrotechnics be adjusted due to their intensity.
On the night of the event, Undertaker changed his attire at the last minute, opting for a coat that would allow the championship belt to be seen. He also doused himself in water to keep his hair wet and maintain visibility. However, despite these precautions, Undertaker was engulfed in flames during his entrance.
Undertaker described the intense heat and his decision to run through the flames to avoid falling off the stage. He sustained burns to his face and chest, but continued the match as planned.
Following the match, Undertaker was furious and intended to confront the person responsible for the pyrotechnics. However, everyone had seemingly disappeared backstage. The next day, Undertaker sought treatment at a burn center and later experienced a mild shock.
Undertaker concluded by expressing his frustration over the incident, stating that it could have been easily avoided.
