Swerve Strickland ready to end Danielson’s career in high-stakes AEW World Championship match at All In
Swerve Strickland is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson at AEW All In. The match has high stakes, as Danielson must retire if he loses. In a recent interview, Strickland expressed his readiness to potentially end Danielson’s career, viewing it as a unique opportunity in his championship reign.
Strickland praised Danielson as a pioneer of modern wrestling, particularly for his influence in Ring of Honor. He credited Danielson for popularizing the independent wrestling style, which includes hard-hitting moves, grappling, and a fast pace. Strickland acknowledged that this style has now become mainstream across various wrestling companies.
The champion also revealed a personal connection to the match, as both he and Danielson are from Washington state. Strickland, from Tacoma, sees defeating Danielson, who is from Aberdeen, as a way to establish himself as the top wrestler from the Pacific Northwest.
The highly anticipated match will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium during the AEW All In event.
