Sting’s Surprise Return at AEW All In 2024 Thrills Fans, Earns Praise from Eric Bischoff
At All In 2024, Sting made a surprise comeback to AEW, his first appearance since retiring in March. The legendary wrestler came to the rescue of his friend Darby Allin during a coffin match against Jack Perry for the TNT title. The dramatic moment occurred when The Young Bucks and Perry were about to set fire to a coffin containing Allin, only to be interrupted by Sting’s iconic entrance music, thrilling the London crowd.
Eric Bischoff, former WCW executive, shared his thoughts on Sting’s return on his podcast. He praised the moment, explaining that such unexpected appearances can significantly boost a show’s overall quality by creating emotional reactions from the audience. Bischoff emphasized that these surprising moments are what fans remember and talk about long after the event, even if other parts of the show were less engaging.
Despite the excitement surrounding Sting’s return, it was revealed that the match between Perry and Allin had to be cut short due to time constraints, as AEW needed to end the show by 10 PM.
