Ronda Rousey reveals WWE offered Evolution 2 event, featuring match against Becky Lynch, before her departure
Former WWE star Ronda Rousey has revealed that plans for a second Evolution event were in the works before her departure from the company. In an interview, Rousey explained that WWE offered to host Evolution 2 within six weeks after WrestleMania if she agreed to stay longer. The event would have featured a singles match between Rousey and Becky Lynch. However, Rousey declined the offer, citing family commitments and the extensive time away from home required by her WWE schedule.
Despite turning down the opportunity, Rousey expressed hope that WWE will revive the all-women’s premium live event concept in the future. She emphasized that the company doesn’t need her involvement to make it happen and encouraged WWE to have faith in their female talent roster. Rousey also mentioned that a hand injury would have prevented her from competing anyway, even if she had agreed to stay for the proposed Evolution 2 event.
