Ronda Rousey Apologizes for Spreading Sandy Hook Conspiracy Theory, Calls It “Biggest Mistake” of Her Life
Ronda Rousey, a former WWE and UFC star, has issued a public apology for spreading false information about the Sandy Hook tragedy. In 2013, she shared a video promoting conspiracy theories about the massacre, which she later removed. Rousey now calls this action the biggest mistake of her life and expresses deep remorse for the pain she caused.
In her statement, Rousey acknowledges that her apology comes 11 years late but emphasizes her sincere regret and shame for contributing to the hurt of those affected by the tragedy. She admits to deserving criticism and cancellation for her past actions.
Rousey also urges others to avoid spreading similar conspiracy theories, warning that they only cause harm. She’s not the only professional wrestler to have promoted such theories; Brian Kendrick, another former WWE star, also claimed the Sandy Hook tragedy was fake.
The controversy surrounding Rousey’s past statements even became part of a storyline in WWE, with her opponent Natalya referencing it during their feud on social media.
