Rikishi criticizes WWE’s booking of Jey Uso, suggests title shot or potential break from wrestling
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has expressed concerns about the current booking of his son, Jey Uso, on WWE Raw. Rikishi believes Jey deserves a shot at either the Intercontinental or World Heavyweight Championship, given his popularity and character development.
In a recent podcast appearance, Rikishi suggested that if WWE creative doesn’t have suitable plans for Jey, he should consider taking a break from wrestling. He feels the current storylines don’t align with Jey’s character, known as “Yeet Man.”
Despite these concerns, Jey Uso has been involved in recent storylines. He’s pursuing a romantic angle with former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and has reunited with Sami Zayn. Additionally, Jey is set to participate in an upcoming Intercontinental Championship contenders tournament.
If Jey wins this tournament, he’ll have the opportunity to challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship. This potential title shot would align with some of Rikishi’s aspirations for his son’s career progression in WWE.
