Ricky Starks Absent from AEW’s All In Event, Fueling Speculation About His Future with the Company
Ricky Starks, a former FTW Champion, is reportedly frustrated with his current situation in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). While the company held its biggest event, All In, at Wembley Stadium in London, Starks was at home watching movies. He commented on social media about watching “Twister” in 4D, suggesting he was not part of the major event.
Starks has been absent from AEW programming since March and hasn’t wrestled since May. Despite being medically cleared, he reportedly lacks a long-term direction in the company. This situation has led to speculation that he might be waiting for his contract to expire.
AEW President Tony Khan has been positive but unclear about Starks’ status with the company. Other wrestlers, including former world champion MJF and former TBS Champion Jade Cargill, have spoken highly of Starks. Cargill referred to him as a star and expressed hope for his future.
The situation highlights the challenges faced by some wrestlers in maintaining a prominent role within a large wrestling organization, even when they are popular among fans and colleagues.
