Paul Heyman compares WWE’s women’s division to Venus and Serena Williams’ impact in tennis
Paul Heyman, a veteran of the professional wrestling industry, recently praised WWE’s women’s division during an appearance on “Bloomberg Live.” He compared the current roster to the impact of Venus and Serena Williams in tennis, stating that WWE now has the best female lineup in the history of the sport. Heyman emphasized that these women are not just there for their looks, but for their exceptional athletic abilities and acting skills.
Heyman highlighted Ronda Rousey as an example of the division’s strength. Rousey, a former MMA star, joined WWE to showcase her athletic prowess and ended up developing her character as well. During her time with WWE, Rousey had four title reigns, including two as SmackDown Women’s Champion. The women’s championships have since been rebranded, with Liv Morgan now holding the Women’s World Championship and Nia Jax claiming the Women’s Championship.
