NJPW Champion Gabe Kidd Blasts Will Ospreay and Calls Kazuchika Okada a “Coward” in Controversial Interview
NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd, known for his outspoken nature, recently shared his candid opinions on fellow wrestlers Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada in an interview. Kidd used strong language to describe Ospreay and called Okada a “coward,” suggesting that Okada left NJPW because he couldn’t keep up with the newer generation of wrestlers.
Kidd’s history with both Ospreay and Okada stems from his time in NJPW. He has faced Ospreay multiple times, including a singles match at RevPro’s Uprising event in December 2023, which Ospreay won. In contrast, Kidd has only teamed up with Okada, with their matches taking place in 2020 when Kidd was still a young lion in NJPW’s dojo system. Kidd became the NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion after defeating Eddie Kingston in a brutal match last May, which resulted in Kingston’s current leg injury.
