MJF Praises Bryan Danielson as Best Opponent, Calls Victory ‘Lucky’ Ahead of AEW All In
Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) recently praised his former opponent Bryan Danielson ahead of AEW All In. During an appearance on “Busted Open Radio,” MJF discussed the upcoming AEW World Championship match between Danielson and current champion Swerve Strickland.
MJF admitted, though reluctantly, that Danielson is the best wrestler he has ever faced. He described his own victory over Danielson as lucky, stating it was the most difficult match of his career. MJF emphasized that it took all of his cunning to defeat Danielson.
The match MJF referred to was the AEW World Championship bout at the 2023 Revolution pay-per-view. It was a 60-minute Iron Man match that ended in a draw, leading to a sudden death overtime. MJF eventually won by submission after an additional five minutes, using the Lebell Lock to make Danielson tap out.
This praise from MJF is noteworthy as he rarely speaks positively about his opponents, making his comments about Danielson’s skill and toughness particularly significant.
