Mercedes Mone set for title defense at AEW All In, reflects on WWE career and Triple H’s early prediction
Mercedes Mone, the current AEW TBS Champion, is preparing for a major title defense against Britt Baker at the upcoming All In event at Wembley Stadium. This match will take place in front of over 50,000 fans.
In her newsletter, Mone reflected on her early career experiences, particularly her participation in Triple H’s WrestleMania 30 entrance. She described the moment as unforgettable, noting Triple H’s encouraging words and his prediction that she would one day have her own WrestleMania entrance.
As Sasha Banks in WWE, Mone indeed went on to have several WrestleMania moments. These included an entrance alongside her cousin Snoop Dogg and main eventing the first night of WrestleMania 37 as SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Mone left WWE in May 2022 with her tag team partner Naomi. After recovering from a serious ankle injury, she debuted in AEW in March and won the TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing.
The upcoming All In event on August 25 will mark Mone’s first appearance at this show as a competitor, having previously attended as a spectator.
