Mark Henry criticizes Mercedes Mone vs Britt Baker match at AEW All In, citing ‘sandbagging’
AEW’s biggest event of the year, All In, took place at Wembley Stadium in London. While the show was generally well-received, some aspects drew criticism. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry voiced his concerns about the TBS Championship match between Mercedes Mone and Britt Baker.
Henry felt the match didn’t meet expectations, noting that Mercedes didn’t perform in her usual style. He observed that certain moves were repeated due to mistakes, often because Baker was out of position. Henry highlighted a specific incident where Baker attempted a backbreaker off the ropes, which Mone struggled to execute due to physical limitations.
This particular moment was described by Henry as “sandbagging,” a term used when a wrestler doesn’t cooperate fully with their opponent’s moves. Interestingly, Baker had previously accused another wrestler, Thunder Rosa, of sandbagging during one of their matches.
