Lilian Garcia, a former WWE ring announcer, made a surprise return to “WWE Raw” in May after nearly five years away. She introduced Kofi Kingston and shared the spotlight with current “Raw” announcer Samantha Irvin. The appearance was orchestrated by Triple H, who wanted to bring the two announcers together for a special moment.

During the event, Garcia felt compelled to endorse Irvin, which many viewers interpreted as a “passing of the torch” moment. Interestingly, this was the first time Garcia and Irvin had met in person. Irvin expressed her admiration for Garcia, revealing that she had grown up watching her and that Garcia had been an inspiration for her career choice. Garcia responded by encouraging Irvin, noting that she was now inspiring the next generation of announcers.

Garcia’s return to WWE programming also highlighted the company’s move towards having all-female ring announcers. She took to social media to praise both Irvin and Alicia Taylor, the announcer for “Smackdown,” expressing her excitement for this progressive shift in WWE’s presentation.
