Kurt Angle open to WWE manager role, but financial offer must be right
Kurt Angle, the WWE Hall of Famer who retired from in-ring competition in 2019, has been frequently considered as a potential on-screen manager for various WWE talents. One name that often comes up is Chad Gable, due to their shared Olympic background and similar character traits. Angle has expressed interest in managing Gable and his American Made faction, but emphasized that the financial offer would need to be right.
In a recent interview, Angle revealed that WWE had approached him about managing Matt Riddle when Riddle first joined the company. However, Angle turned down the opportunity because the financial offer wasn’t satisfactory. The Olympic gold medalist explained that while he loves the wrestling business, he also has to make sound business decisions for his family’s well-being.
Although Angle is open to the idea of returning as a manager and would be willing to take light bumps or engage in minor physical activities, he made it clear that participating in an actual match is no longer feasible for him at this point in his career.
