At the 2024 NXT Battleground Premium Live Event, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace faced NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez in a title match. Perez emerged victorious, but the match was notable for an unfortunate incident involving Grace.

During the match, Grace’s ear piercing was ripped out, marking the second time she has suffered such an injury in recent weeks. The first incident occurred during the May 23rd Impact Wrestling television tapings.

In an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Grace described the injury as severe, with her ear being “ripped all the way through.” While she assured others that she was physically fine, she expressed frustration over the recurring issue.

“I was mad and upset that it happened again,” Grace stated. “I wasn’t hurt or trying to stop the match, I was just pissed off.”

Despite the setback, Grace continued to compete in the match, ultimately losing to Perez.

Following the incident, Grace announced on social media that she will be retiring her ear piercings from in-ring action.

“Very say to announce that after many years of unproblematic, diligent work, my ear piercings will now retire from in-ring action.”
