Joe Hendry’s WWE NXT success catches Rikishi’s attention, sparks WrestleMania speculation
Joe Hendry, a former TNA Digital Media Champion, has been making waves in WWE NXT as part of the partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling. His viral success has caught the attention of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi Fatu, who reluctantly praised Hendry’s marketing skills on his podcast. Rikishi even suggested that Hendry might be featured in a WrestleMania skit, highlighting the potential impact of his popularity.
The collaboration between WWE and TNA has led to several crossover appearances. TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace challenged NXT Champion Roxanne Perez, while Zachary Wentz has appeared on NXT seeking revenge against his former tag partner Wes Lee. In return, NXT stars like Tatum Paxley have competed at TNA events. Hendry’s recent success continued as he won a triple threat match against Lee and Pete Dunne, earning a shot at the NXT Championship. He is set to face champion Ethan Page at the upcoming No Mercy event on September 1 in Denver, Colorado.
