Jim Ross doubts success of lawsuit against AEW, calling it “frivolous”
Former AEW stars The Tate Twins and Kevin Kelley have filed a lawsuit against AEW, Tony Khan, and commentator Ian Riccaboni. The lawsuit makes multiple claims against the defendants, but wrestling veteran Jim Ross believes the case is unlikely to succeed.
Speaking on his podcast, Ross expressed skepticism about the lawsuit’s chances, citing his experience with similar cases in the past. He emphasized that signed contracts typically hold up in court and predicted that the plaintiffs would run out of money before Tony Khan. Ross criticized such legal disputes as “frivolous” and wished the parties had resolved their differences through discussion instead.
While Ross admitted to not being familiar with The Tate Twins, he had more to say about Kevin Kelley, whom he considers an old friend. Ross expressed sadness over Kelley’s departure from AEW, suggesting that Kelley had wanted a larger role that wasn’t available to him. Despite this, Ross maintained his belief that the lawsuit would likely be overruled in court.
