Jamie Hayter Returns to AEW After Year-Long Injury, Reveals Mental Struggles During Recovery
Jamie Hayter, former AEW Women’s Champion, has made a comeback to AEW after being sidelined for over a year due to a serious injury. Her return took place at the All In event in Wembley Stadium. In a recent interview, Hayter revealed that her long absence was not only physically challenging but also mentally taxing. She admitted to questioning her desire to continue wrestling and struggled to find her passion and purpose during her recovery.
As her physical pain began to subside, Hayter started to regain her motivation. She described feeling “alive again” when she first stepped back into the ring. Her journey back to wrestling wasn’t easy, as she had to receive special permission from AEW medical staff to compete in her final match before losing her title in May of the previous year. Hayter’s return to action came during the All In pre-show, where she confronted Saraya and her family. She then competed in her first official match since the injury on a recent episode of “Dynamite.”
