Jamie Hayter makes emotional return to AEW after 15-month injury, defeats Harley Cameron at All In London
Jamie Hayter, former AEW Women’s World Champion, made a triumphant return to wrestling after a 15-month injury hiatus. Her comeback took place at the All In London event, where she appeared in front of a packed crowd in her home country. Although she didn’t face Saraya as anticipated, Hayter confronted and defeated Saraya’s friend, Harley Cameron, both at Wembley Stadium and in her AEW Dynamite return on August 28.
In a recent interview on “AEW Close-Up” with Renee Paquette, Hayter shared her emotional experience of returning to the ring. She admitted to having panic attacks due to nervousness but expressed joy at being back, especially in her home country. The event was particularly meaningful as her family attended, marking the first time they had seen her wrestle in the UK since 2017. Hayter humorously mentioned that her mother’s enthusiastic clapping aggravated her arthritis.
Despite the overwhelming emotions, Hayter revealed that she experienced tunnel vision during her performance at All In. It wasn’t until she was backstage, as the adrenaline subsided, that she fully absorbed the magnitude of the moment. Reflecting on her return, Hayter expressed feeling fantastic about the entire experience.
