Former WWE creative team member Jennifer Pepperman joins AEW, credits Mercedes Mone as key factor
Jennifer Pepperman, formerly part of WWE’s creative team, joined AEW in February as Vice President of Content Development. This move was closely linked to Mercedes Mone’s (formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE) arrival at AEW.
In a recent interview, Pepperman confirmed that Mone’s signing played a significant role in her decision to join AEW. She spoke highly of Mone, praising her both as a performer and a creative partner.
Pepperman described Mone as “really special” and a “pioneer” in the wrestling industry, crediting her with breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings. She expressed admiration for Mone’s talent and found her inspiring.
The former WWE creative team member emphasized the importance of collaboration in the creative process, stating that she and Mone work well together. Pepperman believes Mone may not fully realize the extent of her own talent.
This move highlights the growing competition between WWE and AEW, with talent and creative personnel moving between the two companies.
