Former TNA President Scott D’Amore Discusses Departure and New Wrestling Venture
Scott D’Amore, who served as TNA President from 2021 to February 2024, recently discussed his departure from the wrestling promotion. D’Amore left TNA shortly after the company rebranded back to its original name. In an interview, he reflected on the reasons behind his exit, describing it as a business decision stemming from differences in opinion with Anthem, TNA’s parent company.
D’Amore revealed that he learned about his firing just two days before TNA’s first show under its new branding. Despite the shock, he maintained a professional attitude and tried to keep morale high. While admitting it’s difficult to say there are no hard feelings, D’Amore emphasized that he holds no malice towards TNA. He also shared a personal perspective on the situation, noting that being terminated from a job is not something that will be significant in the grand scheme of life.
Following his departure from TNA, D’Amore has since founded his own wrestling company called Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. He expressed that the experience helped him realize there is life beyond the wrestling industry, offering a philosophical outlook on career changes and personal growth.
