Former LSU soccer player Jaida Parker earns NXT Women’s Championship shot after rapid WWE development
WWE’s NIL (Next In Line) program has successfully recruited former collegiate athletes, including Jaida Parker, an ex-LSU soccer player who joined in 2022. After just two years of training at the WWE Performance Center, Parker has earned a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, challenging Roxanne Perez at the upcoming “WWE NXT” No Mercy event.
Perez, known as “The Prodigy,” praised the effectiveness of the WWE Performance Center in rapidly developing new talent. She expressed excitement about facing Parker, acknowledging her opponent’s quick progress but maintaining confidence in her own superior experience. Since joining WWE during WrestleMania 38 week, Parker has participated in nearly 50 matches, most notably winning a Gauntlet Eliminator against several opponents to secure her title opportunity against Perez.
