Eric Bischoff Suggests Jen Pepperman as Solution to AEW’s Creative Woes Amid Declining Metrics
AEW has been facing declining metrics in live event attendance and television ratings over the past year, despite continuing to hold major shows. Eric Bischoff, a veteran wrestling executive, believes this is due to creative issues and has been advocating for Tony Khan to hand over booking responsibilities to someone else.
Bischoff suggests that Jen Pepperman, a former TV and WWE writer who recently joined AEW, could be the solution. He praises Pepperman’s storytelling abilities and grasp of story structure, based on his past interactions with her at WWE and after listening to her on a recent podcast. Bischoff believes that Khan has the financial resources to make changes and that Pepperman, who was brought into AEW due to her connection with Mercedes Mone, has the potential to improve the company’s creative direction.
