Cody Rhodes to Defend WWE Championship Against Solo Sikoa in Steel Cage Match on SmackDown’s USA Network Debut
Cody Rhodes, the current Undisputed WWE Champion, opened the final episode of SmackDown on FOX by addressing the crowd in Edmonton, Canada. He was quickly joined in the ring by members of The Bloodline, including Solo Sikoa, who demanded a rematch for the championship. Rhodes, instead of accepting Sikoa’s challenge, offered a title match to Jacob Fatu, but Fatu reaffirmed his loyalty to Sikoa.
The situation escalated into a brawl involving The Street Profits and DIY. General Manager Nick Aldis intervened and made an official announcement: Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match. This high-stakes bout is set to take place during SmackDown’s debut on the USA Network next week. It’s worth noting that Rhodes has previously defeated Sikoa in singles matches, including their encounter at SummerSlam.
