Cody Rhodes addresses Vince McMahon allegations, maintains focus on WWE responsibilities
During a recent press conference, WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes addressed questions about allegations of sex trafficking against former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Rhodes refrained from confirming whether he believed the accusations made by Janel Grant, stating that he and other wrestlers were learning about the situation just like the public. He emphasized that the locker room’s focus remains on their day-to-day responsibilities in WWE.
The allegations stem from a lawsuit filed in January against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, accusing them of sex trafficking and exploitation of Grant during her employment. This led to McMahon’s resignation as Executive Chairman of WWE. When directly asked about his belief in Grant’s allegations, Rhodes admitted he didn’t have enough information to provide a definitive answer. This cautious approach echoes a similar response given by WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, in a previous press conference regarding the company’s cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
