CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s rivalry heats up ahead of Hell In A Cell Match at WWE Bad Blood
The rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk continues to intensify as they approach their Hell In A Cell Match at WWE Bad Blood on October 5. During Punk’s recent appearance on WWE NXT, he was unexpectedly criticized by NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, who expressed regret for being a former Punk fan and declared her support for McIntyre instead. McIntyre responded positively to Perez’s comments on social media, taking a jab at Punk’s habit of referring to young female wrestlers as his “wrestling daughters.”
The tension between McIntyre and Punk has been building for six months, with both wrestlers exchanging victories. Their upcoming match at Bad Blood will serve as a tiebreaker. Before that, Punk is scheduled to referee the WWE NXT Title match on October 1 in Chicago, marking NXT’s debut on The CW network. This referee role brings back memories of Punk’s previous interference in McIntyre’s World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Clash In The Castle: Scotland, where he cost McIntyre the title in his home country.
None of this ‘you’re my wrestling daughter’ bs 💩
Only freaks do that.
I’m just very proud of you @roxanne_wwe https://t.co/ebpUnpoRAW
