AEW Star Will Ospreay Reveals Humble Beginnings: From Building Sites to Unusual Wrestling Venues
Will Ospreay, now a prominent figure in AEW and the current AEW International Champion, recently shared insights into his humble beginnings in the wrestling industry. In an interview, Ospreay revealed that during his early days in independent wrestling, he worked on building sites to make ends meet. He described his job as a “mastic man,” sealing bathrooms and windows, though he admitted he wasn’t particularly skilled at it.
Ospreay also recounted the varied and often challenging venues where he honed his craft. He spoke of performing in church halls in Wales, filthy nightclubs, and social clubs with unusual obstacles like projection screens that wrestlers had to duck under during matches.
