AEW Grand Slam to debut as pay-per-view in Brisbane, Australia in 2025
AEW Grand Slam is set to become a pay-per-view event in 2025, taking place at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia on February 15. The event, with a capacity of 52,500 people, is expected to be the largest professional wrestling event ever held in the city. The local Brisbane government played a crucial role in bringing AEW to Queensland’s capital, as part of the city’s efforts to secure international events, including the 2032 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
In preparation for the event, ESPN has expanded its AEW programming in Australia. In addition to “AEW Dynamite” and “AEW Rampage,” the network will now broadcast “AEW Collision” starting September 1. This expansion is part of the plans developed by TEG, AEW’s Australian partner for the upcoming Grand Slam pay-per-view. The impact of this international event on the traditional September Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York remains unclear.
