AEW Eyes Mexico Expansion: Jeff Jarrett Hints at Potential Shows in the Near Future
Jeff Jarrett, AEW’s Director of Business Development, is working on expanding the company’s international presence. AEW has already made plans for events in the United Kingdom, Japan, and potentially Australia. Now, Jarrett is eyeing Mexico as a possible destination for future AEW shows.
Jarrett believes AEW could successfully host an event in Mexico due to wrestling’s deep connection with Mexican culture. He points out that many AEW stars have Mexican roots or incorporate Lucha Libre style in their performances. Jarrett also mentioned Chris Jericho as an example of a wrestler who learned a lot from his early experiences in Mexico.
According to Jarrett, AEW’s debut in Mexico might happen sooner rather than later. He expressed enthusiasm about being part of the process to bring AEW to the Mexican market, stating that the company is not far from making this a reality.
