AEW Crowns New Champions: Danielson and Ospreay Triumph as Mark Henry Suggests Celebratory Approach
AEW has crowned two new champions: Bryan Danielson as World Champion and Will Ospreay as International Champion. Earlier this year, Ospreay nearly ended Danielson’s career with a dangerous move called the Tiger Driver ’91, which left Ospreay traumatized. However, in a surprising turn of events at Wembley Stadium, Danielson encouraged Ospreay to use the move against their mutual rival, MJF.
Mark Henry, a wrestling veteran, shared his thoughts on how AEW should handle this situation on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. He suggested a scenario where both champions arrive separately, with Danielson later addressing his victory in the ring. In this setup, Danielson would pass Ospreay on his way to the ring, shake his hand, and give him encouragement about his future as champion.
Henry believes this approach would give both wrestlers proper recognition without overshadowing each other’s achievements. He emphasized the importance of showcasing both champions while acknowledging that Ospreay isn’t yet the top star in the company.
Meanwhile, Danielson has been honest about his physical condition, revealing that he may need neck surgery by the end of the year due to ongoing injuries.
