AEW Champion Will Ospreay Sets Sights on Arena Mexico to Complete Iconic Venues List
Will Ospreay, the current AEW International Champion, is considering performing at Arena Mexico, a venue he has yet to conquer in his wrestling career. Ospreay expressed his initial fear of wrestling in Mexico but has been encouraged by positive feedback from fellow wrestlers who have performed there.
Ospreay aims to join an elite group of wrestlers who have performed at four iconic venues: Wembley Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Tokyo Dome, and Arena Mexico. This exclusive list includes AEW stars Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho, and former WWE wrestler Earthquake.
With Arena Mexico being the only venue left on his list, Ospreay feels it’s time to take on this challenge. He was inspired by the success of MJF, who recently defended the International Championship (then known as the American Championship) against CMLL’s Templario at Arena Mexico.
