WWE Legends Recall Controversial 1997 Kuwait Interview: Vader’s Aggressive Response Shocks Host

In 1997, a promotional interview for a WWF World Heavyweight Championship match in Kuwait took an unexpected turn. The Undertaker and Vader, who were set to face each other, appeared on “Good Morning Kuwait” to promote their upcoming bout. However, the situation quickly escalated when the host, Bassam Al Othman, asked if professional wrestling was fake.

The Undertaker, maintaining his character, responded calmly to the question. Vader, on the other hand, reacted aggressively. According to The Undertaker’s recent recollection on the “Six Feet Under” show, Vader grabbed the host by the tie and shook him. This physical reaction led to the immediate shutdown of the interview. The Undertaker described feeling internally alarmed by Vader’s actions while outwardly maintaining his composure throughout the incident.
